Jarrett Collins Jarrett has nearly two decades
of experience financing and running high-growth organizations. Prior to
starting NeoCarta in 1999, he created and led TTC Ventures, the venture
capital subsidiary of The Thomson Corporation (now Thomson Reuters). His
investing career began with Copley Venture Partners in 1989, though he
detoured to one of Copley's investments, Mulberry Child Care Centers,
eventually becoming CEO. Jarrett guided a successful turnaround at Mulberry,
which was later sold to the industry's leading public company, KinderCare.
Since then, Jarrett has backed
two dozen private technology companies, more than half of which have gone
public and/or been acquired by public companies. He is currently on the
board of Waterfront Media, the largest privately held online health company
and the fastest growing internet property of 2007. His previous investments
include Audible (IPO; acquired by Amazon), CareerBuilder (IPO), Healtheon
(IPO; merged with WebMD), NetGravity (IPO; now part of Google), Qpass
(acquired by Amdocs), and UpShot (now part of Oracle). In addition to graduating from
Tufts University with a bachelor's degree in engineering, Jarrett earned
an MBA from the University of Southern California and was selected as
his graduating class's Outstanding Student by the Beta Gamma Sigma honor
society. Jarrett's nonprofit interests include the Tenacre Country Day
School, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
