Ellen Levy

Ellen is a Venture Partner based out of our San Francisco office. Prior to joining NeoCarta, Ellen worked at SOFTBANK Venture Capital, focusing on investments in early stage technology companies and assisting them with ongoing strategic business development initiatives.

Previously, Ellen held several executive level positions at early stage technology companies including Vice President of Corporate Development at SoftBook Press (acquired by Gemstar International in 1999) and Vice President of Corporate Development at WhoWhere? (acquired by Lycos in 1998). Prior to joining WhoWhere?, Ellen worked at Apple Computer in the Office of the CEO, at Paul Allen's Interval Research, and at Price Waterhouse in the Technology Core Consulting Practice. Additionally, Ellen is a co-founder of the media firm The Dr. Spock Company, based in Menlo Park, CA.

She received her B.S. from the University of Michigan, and completed both her M.A. and Ph.D. at Stanford University in Cognitive Psychology, specializing in Human Computer Interaction and Information Management. She now serves on the Advisory Board for Stanford's MediaX program, which unifies the technology design initiatives across the university and ties them to industry and corporate partners. In addition, Ellen is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) Organization in Silicon Valley.
